Terms of use

The Impostor website and app are provided by DOROBANTI NETWORK S.R.L. (Dorobanti Media), the developer and provider of the app, content and support. These Terms explain use of the website and game, the Impostor+ subscription and your rights. The website provides information and support; Impostor+ is purchased only through the App Store.

The app uses Apple’s Standard EULA, which these Terms do not replace. Apple manages payment and subscriptions under its terms. For customers of Apple Distribution International Ltd., that company is the merchant of record for the App Store transaction; DOROBANTI NETWORK S.R.L. provides the app and content.

Impostor is played in Romanian, together in person, each on your own iPhone or iPad. At least 3 players are needed, including the Host, who also plays and controls the phases. There are no timers.

Free includes 3 players, “A Bit of Everything” and 1–5 rounds. Impostor+ opens all ten categories, 1–20 rounds and more players within the limit shown by the Host’s device. Only the Host needs a subscription.

Impostor+ provides access to the available catalogue and premium content added over time, without a fixed release schedule.

Impostor+ renews automatically every week until cancelled. Before confirmation, the App Store shows the total price, currency, period and terms of offers you qualify for.

Apple collects payment; the app and website do not receive card details. Restore access in the app and manage your subscription through your Apple Account. Apple gives notice of price changes and requests consent where required.

To stop renewal: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Impostor+. Cancellation stops future payments without automatically refunding earlier ones. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Access continues until the expiry shown by Apple, except following a refund or revocation; any trial follows Apple’s conditions. A game already created keeps its configuration until it ends; access changes apply to later games.

Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 generally provides 14 days to withdraw after concluding the contract. Apple’s Romanian terms provide 14 days from receipt for eligible orders: for subscriptions, the initial subscription, not each renewal.

For digital content without a tangible medium, losing the statutory withdrawal right after supply begins requires prior express consent, acknowledgement of losing the right and contract confirmation on a durable medium. Reading this website does not give that consent.

To withdraw: Apple Account → Purchase History → the relevant order → “Withdraw Transaction”; select the items and confirm. Apple acknowledges receipt by email. You may also send a clear statement or the optional form in Apple’s terms before the deadline.

Apple refunds amounts due following withdrawal within 14 days of notification, by the same payment method without a fee. For other refunds, use “Report a Problem”. These procedures do not remove statutory conformity rights.

Use the same Wi-Fi network, allow Local Network access and connections between devices. New players join only in the Lobby, before the first round. There are no accounts, public rooms or developer gameplay server.

The Host coordinates the session and may remove participants. Disconnection does not erase accepted answers or votes; progress may wait for reconnection or removal. If the Host leaves, the game ends, without transfer to another Host or recovery after the app closes.

Choose names and answers you are comfortable sharing with the group. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate or improperly disclose personal or confidential data. Do not disrupt sessions, access devices without authorisation or bypass payment or access controls.

“Unfiltered · 18+” contains adult themes. Its warning does not verify age and is not the App Store rating. The Host chooses a category suited to everyone’s age and comfort; each participant may decline it.

iOS 26.6 or iPadOS 26.6 or later is required. Local play does not need Internet access; offers, purchases, restoration and subscription management may need a connection to Apple. Guest networks, filters, VPNs or some hotspots can block local connections.

The app offers native controls, scalable text and accessibility labels. The website supports keyboards, screen readers, text enlargement, light and dark themes and reduced motion. Discussion is in person, without in-app transcription. For a barrier or an accessible format, describe the screen, device and assistive technology; a medical diagnosis is not needed.

Rights in the app, website and materials belong to their respective holders. Apple’s Standard EULA and the law govern permitted use. Copying, systematic extraction, modification, resale or redistribution requires authorisation or a legal right; mandatory legal exceptions remain applicable.

We provide updates needed for conformity, including security updates, for the period required by Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 141/2021, including the Impostor+ subscription period. Follow installation instructions communicated through the App Store.

Other changes may correct gameplay or compatibility, meet legal requirements or improve content, without extra cost and with clear notice. For more than a minor negative impact on access or use, we give advance notice on a durable medium of the change, its date and your options. Article 18 of that Ordinance allows termination without charge within 30 days of notice or the change, whichever is later, except when the unchanged, conforming version remains available at no extra cost.

We publish the version and date of new Terms. Changes do not retroactively reduce mandatory rights or value already paid for.

Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 141/2021 protects conformity of digital content and services. Nonconformity must be corrected without cost or significant inconvenience within a reasonable period, agreed in writing, no longer than 15 calendar days after notification.

Subject to the law, you may request a proportionate price reduction or termination if correction is impossible, disproportionate or inadequate, the issue recurs or it is serious. Amounts due are refunded without undue delay, within 14 days of notice exercising the right, by the same payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without fees.

These Terms and Apple’s procedures preserve mandatory rights against the entity responsible under the law. We do not limit liability where the law prohibits it.

SAL is optional and does not replace access to authorities or courts under their applicable procedures.

Romanian law applies without removing mandatory protections for consumers in other EU countries under the law of their habitual residence. You may use the competent courts, including your home court where the law permits.
